Good Day - Video of Southsea Seafront filmed with Drone

Updated: Nov 10, 2019

This aerial video was filmed with my DJI Phantom 4 Pro and Inspire 2 drones. This crow's-eye flight takes you from Southsea's South Parade Pier to Portsmouth's Emirates Spinnaker Tower.

Still photography with Nikon and FujiFilm cameras.

This short video covers some of the most Historic Areas of England. The Invasion of Nomandy was lauched from here on D Day June 6th 1944. This heralded the begining to the end of the Allies War with Nazi Germany.

Southsea Castle built on the orders of King Henry 8th in 1544 . King Henry was at the Castle on the day The Mary Rose sank. The Castle was invaded in 1642 during the English Cival War.

Portsmouth Harbour is the UK's Premier Royal Navy Harbour, home to the new aircraft carrier Queen Elizabeth.

The Harbour is also an important Ferry port with ferries running to France, Spain and the nearby Isle of Wight. Added to the three thousand yachts and pleasure craft said to berthed within the harbour makes the entrance, shown in my aerial shot above, very busy at times. The last commerical hover craft in the UK runs from Southsea to Ryde, Isle of Wight. It can be seen in my video.

Setting for the image above f3.5 1/80th ISO 100 DJI Inspire 2 drone with Zenmuse X5S camera with Olympus 25mm f1.8 lens. (50mm in full frame) 6.50 in morning.
